Yo, birthday boy.
current mood: good
Hey,
vegettoex. I know you don't want me making a fuss, but I have to write you an obligatory "Happy Birthday!" post on LJ. And so, here it is. Oooh, shiny. :P

Yeah, totally unrelated use of Zuko icon now. Just had to use it. :)
Speaking of Avatar, we have 5 or 6 episodes left. I don't know what I am gonna do with all my spare time when we're done. I think I'll feel empty inside once we finish the series. Maybe I'll re-watch it all on my own for any future AMV makings.
This weekend was all sorts of awesome. On Friday night (after a short Friday work day; yay summer hours!),
gambitt,
reifirstchild and
andrewdeluxe came over for dinner, podcast recording (well, not so much for Andrew; he took advantage of our small bed in the basement and had a nap), and games. We played a DVD version of Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture 2, and I have determined that when we play in a group, Andrew will be the only person to ever win since he's the only one who knows anything about sports. :P
On Saturday,
vegettoex and I went to Michael's (twice!) to buy poster frames, since they were on sale. We bought frames for DBZ/anime posters for the basement, and put them up on Sunday. The basement is now soooooo colorful and geeked out! I can't wait to put up some photos. Of course, it'll all have to come down whenever we sell the house years and years from now; I think prospective buyers will be scared off by the otakufied basement. We went out to eat on Saturday, and just hung out.
Sunday was spent cleaning, putting up the above-mentioned posters, and cooking for Father's Day. My parents came over for dinner, and we cooked for them for the first time since moving to the new house. We then played a lot of Wii Sports, which was quite fascinating (we haven't played as a family in years). Oh yeah, and Tyler bit my foot and nipped my dad's hand. I don't know why that cat had such an attitude yesterday!
The weekend felt nice and loooong, and I'm glad next week will be short due to 4th of July weekend. Speaking of, anyone have any plans?
